I used to see you, hear from you a lot
Your words, even now, still rings clear
Beaming in aging wisdom
You have been so dear, a light
They must be waiting now
To bring you home
Who among us wishes to stay?
And walk forever on borrowed soil
They must have been waiting
Waiting for a while now
Waiting for you
Did you see them?
Did you see them?
Can we see them too?
The angels came to take you
You’ll join their parade
Along with other blessed ones
Can we see them too?
The angels came to take you
You’ll join their parade
Along with other blessed ones
You left so many hearts behind
Wonder what they’ll say
When you decided
To take leave in just a moment
Wonder what they’ll say
When you decided
To take leave in just a moment
But I
I sing with joy
A song of praises
My soul sings for you
You saw them
Now you’re on your way home
Back into His loving arms
Home sweet home
Now you’re on your way home
Back into His loving arms
Home sweet home
We, though, remain
Here on this borrowed soil
Waiting for the moment
When we’ll see them too
Here on this borrowed soil
Waiting for the moment
When we’ll see them too
They had come for you
You were ready, weren’t you?
You saw them
And you followed
While we here remain
Till we’ll see them too
You were ready, weren’t you?
You saw them
And you followed
While we here remain
Till we’ll see them too
A dedication, a tribute to two beautiful people, Aunty Sabrina and Sr. Sylvia who left our earthly residence on January 13 and May 22 respectively, to join the faithful in heaven above.
Aunty was a part of the family. I grew up knowing her and her children. She spent a lot of time in the evenings with Mama, just chatting away. She was also active in house visits during Lent, Rosary month and Advent seasons. Sr. Sylvia was my first cousin. She joined the Daughters of St. Paul congregation and believe me, she was and still is, a great inspiration. She was so interested to know about me and Caine and she was there for me, though not in person, to help me get through the times prior to and after Caine’s leave.
Upon their leaves, I am naturally sad because I know there will be a certain gap in our lives now, especially in their immediate families’. However, I am also happy because I know they have been carrying a lot on their shoulders. They have done their parts well and the heavenly Father has decided to grant them rest. What I should be more concerned of is what about me? Have I done my part?
Like Dumbledore said to Harry, “Do not pity the dead. Pity the living and above all, those who live without love.” ~ Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, 2011 © J. K. Rowling.

I miss Sr Syl too :(
Philippines isn't the same without her there :(
I know. I miss having her messages popping up on Facebook. Of all her sayings to me, my favourite was "Pupus suda tu laki yg kau mau tu. Tiada suda mcm tu skrng oi." :)
What say you, dear reader?
